Services: Features

MULTICHANNEL GEOMETRY TOOL

The caliper tool is designed to measure internal passage bore and bend radius of pipelines of various diameters.

  • Tool's diameter : 6 - 48 inch

  • Max.operational pressure: 14MPa

  • Max length of the pipeline to be inspected at one run: 360km

Detect location accuracy:

  • Accuracy of defect distance from the section beginning: ±0.1M

  • Accuracy of circumferential position: ±15°

Built-in inertial mapping unit enables precise synchronization with GPS coordinates and reliable three-dimensional pipeline positioning in the ground including its time - based time.

MFL HIGH RESOLUTION INSPECTION TOOL

High resolution MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) inspection tool is able to execute in-line NDT (Non destructive testing) for the pipeline base metal and weld. MFL detects features such as:

  • Cracks

  • Metals loss defects;

  • Weld abdnormality;

  • Outer support and fittings.

All these feature detected by MFL inspection tool will be reported by later sensitive analysis. The results would be used to improved pipeline repair, operation and maintenance.

MFL + INSPECTION TOOL

Magnetic in-line inspection tools of “MFL+” type enable to detect any of defects orientations on the inner pipeline surface as well as pipeline geometry defects. Operation specifications of intrascope do not depend on inspected pipe wall thickness.

  • MFL+System"seem" and records like camera all defects on inner pipeline surface with photographic accuracy based on magnetic method.

TFI INSPECTION TOOL

TFI tool (Transverse Field Inspection) technology is also one of magnetic flux leakage based tools.However the tool induces a flux field in circumferential direction and that is due to the transverse installation of magnetizing sections.

The magnetizer system is designed to guarantee detection and sizing of metal loss anomalies, same as MFL tools, however it is also particularly developed for measurement of longitudinally oriented anomalies such ad longitudinal weld anomalies, tunnel corrosion.

TFI tools also show good performance in sizing and detection of some types of cracks like anomalies.

As a result TFI technology ensure detection and sizing of certain anomalies that conventional axial MFL tools have difficulty with, but on the contrary, TFI's capabilities on circumferentially oriented anomalies are more limited.

EMAT ELECTROMAGNETIC ACOUSTIC IN-LINE INSPECTION TECHNOLOGIES

Emat tools are destined to perform combined magnetic and ultrasonic in-line inspections of gas & oil pipelines on the basis of electromagnetic method. They are are applicable for:

  • Diagnostics and monitoring of corrosion condition of pipelines;

  • Detection of longitudinal extra small defects;

  • Pipe wall thickness measurement;

  • Pipeline coating investigations

  • Assessment of local pipeline stress zones.

Absorption factors of acoustic waves in various types of pipeline coatings:

a) Weak attenuation of acoustic wave in uncoated pipe. Maximum (yellow color) on EMAT inspection plot.

b) Intermediate attenuation of acoustic wave in a pipe with polyethylene coating (black and red colors on EMAT inspection plot.

c) Strong attenuation of acoustic wave in pipe with bitumen (asphalt) coating. Minimum signal (white color) on EMAT inspection plot.

MAGNETIC TOOLS MFL. COMBO/TOOLS - MFL+TFI.

The high resolution magnetic tool is designed to find, size and locate defects in the pipe body, in axial and girth welds and metal objects, adjacent to the pipe body.

  • MFL  tool diameter : 6-48 inches

  • MFL+TFI tool diameter : 20-48 inches

  • Pipe wall thickness range: 4-27 mm

  • Max length of the pipeline to be inspected at one run: 350 km

  • Max. operational pressure: 14 MPa

Defect location accuracy :

  • Accuracy of defect location measurement from the section beginning: ±0.1M

  • Accuracy of circumferential position: ±6°

ULTRASONIC TOOLS WM/CD

The high resolution ultrasonic tools are designed for detecting and sizing anomalies and defects, including metal loss, cracks or cracks-like features.

  • WM tool’s diameter range: 6- 48 inch

  • CD tool’s diameter range: 6- 16 inch

  • Pipe wall thickness range: 4-33 mm

  • Max length of the pipeline to be inspected at one run: 260km

  • Max. operational pressure: 14 MPa

Detect location accuracy:

  • Accuracy of defect distance from the section beginning: ±0.1M

  • Accuracy of circumferential position: ±6°
